The company was established in Manchester in 1993 by our current managing director, Aria Taheri. Aria was awarded an engineering degree with honours in Electronics from the University of Bath in 1991; and then worked for a period in the electronics industry before attending the University of Manchester Institute of Science & Technology (UMIST), where he gained his postgraduate MSc.

Based upon his experience in the electronics and computer world, Aria established Aria Technology Limited with the aim of making computer products and services more accessible for individuals and businesses by ensuring quality products were sourced and distributed to the marketplace at affordable prices.

Aria recently featured on the popular Channel 4 reality show The Secret Millionaire, during which he went undercover in Sparbrook in Birmingham; spent time volunteering with several charitable organisations; and eventually revealed his identity, surprising several of the charities concerned with donations. Aria Technology has traded successfully for 20 years, and is now established as a leader in the market place with a forecasted turnover of £20m for the coming year.

Purchase Ledger Clerk

Gladiator Computers have been a respected source for high performance PC hardware since 1999. Today we are operating in a custom built state of the art business premises in Bellevue, Manchester, and we regularly feature award winning systems reviewed in leading IT magazines and trade journals. Our new website, launched in 2013 for selling Gladiator PC Systems, provides a configurator which allows customers to choose their components, peripherals and other options so that they can build a PC tailored to their needs.

Role overview

We are looking for a well-organized Purchase Ledger Clerk with the ability to communicate efficiently with peers and suppliers while ensuring that all accounts and administration duties are dealt with accurately. You will be working closely together with other areas of the business, in particular our Purchasing and Supplier Returns.

You will also be happy to take over other accounting duties to support the team. A motivated individual with a bright mind will have the opportunity for career progression.

Key duties include:
  • To prepare payment runs and send remittance advices
  • Supplier and bank reconciliation
  • Maintaining spreadsheets
  • Purchase Ledger invoicing
  • To keep Supplier Returns up to date and follow up credit notes for items returned to supplier

Reporting to the Managing Director you will assist with the day to day organisation of his diary and schedule. In this role you will be working closely with the management team with the aim of facilitating the smooth running of the business and helping it to fulfil it's strategic objectives. We are looking for a highly motivated professional to be the go to person for all Managing Director related queries. With extensive planning and organisational skills, you will ensure the smooth running of the Managing Director's day to day activities in order for them to be able to concentrate on the stategic direction of the business.

Role overview:

In this role you will be involved within all operations based areas of Aria Technology.

You will be working in the warehouse, the shop and our technical departments.

Experience with admin work is desirable. The successful candidate possesses a bright mind as well as hands on and flexible approach towards all duties.

Working hours

You will be required to work every other weekend (5 day/6 day week), arrive in time to make sure your work area is ready when the shop opens and stay until the closing procedures are finished.
