Velo Systems Limited (Trading as Aria Technology and Gladiator Computers) is a major supplier of PC compatible computer components and peripherals across the UK. We supply thousands of end users, students, public and private sector companies, central government offices and education providers each year with quality products and services, all at highly competitive prices.

The company was established in Manchester in 1993 by our current managing director, Aria Taheri. Aria was awarded an engineering degree with honours in Electronics from the University of Bath in 1991; and then worked for a period in the electronics industry before attending the University of Manchester Institute of Science & Technology (UMIST), where he gained his postgraduate MSc.

Based upon his experience in the electronics and computer world, Aria established Aria Technology Limited with the aim of making computer products and services more accessible for individuals and businesses by ensuring quality products were sourced and distributed to the marketplace at affordable prices.

Aria recently featured on the popular Channel 4 reality show The Secret Millionaire, during which he went undercover in Sparbrook in Birmingham; spent time volunteering with several charitable organisations; and eventually revealed his identity, surprising several of the charities concerned with donations. We have has traded successfully for 20 years, and are now established as a leader in the market place with a forecasted turnover of £20m for the coming year.

The company employs over 35 individuals who together have a vast array of knowledge and expertise within the Information Technology sector. As the business continues to grow and develop, we constantly strengthen the team through in-house training and product knowledge updates as new technology is launched. Aria Technology Ltd also has a comprehensive staff development programme and the new personnel are recruited after thorough analysis to identify the skills that are of key importance to the expansion of our business activities.

Accounts & Finance  (1 vacancies)

Management Accounts Assistant

Role overview

Reporting to the head of Accounts, your role includes financial analysis, management accounting and KPI/performance reporting. You will provide the Head of Accounts with administrative day to day support and quality information for commercial decision-making.

Key duties include:

  • Assisting in preparation of monthly management accounts
  • General day to day accounting
  • Intercompany invoicing and reconciliations
  • Participation in defining and implementing Finance strategy
  • May be required to attend/contribute to business reviews and management meetings
  • Month end processes including stock control, accruals, pre payments and journals
  • Liaison with internal and external entities
  • Identify and collate relevant financial data, i.e. for the annual audit.

Part Time Social Media Marketing Specialist

Part Time Social Media Marketing Specialist

There is an opportunity for a social media specialist to assist us with the production and management of our social media strategy (for Aria PC and Gladiator Computers).

This is envisioned as a good opportunity for a home worker, with occasional visits to our offices in order to touch base (as such being local to our Manchester offices would be an advantage).

This would not initially be a full time role, we envision that this role should require approximately 10 hours a week initially.

Key Duties would Include:

  • Developing a Strategy for Gladiator Computers and Aria PC social media campaigns
  • Reviewing and providing constructive criticism of our existing Social Media efforts
  • Getting "hands on" posting to social media

Person Specification

  • Experience with Social Media Marketing
  • Demonstrable experience of using Social Media in a business context
  • Deep familiarity with major social media channels
  • Highly motivated and enthusiastic
  • Strong communication skills
  • Familiarity with YouTube and Twitch.tv (from a commercial perspective) would be highly advantageous

Mixed Role Warehouse Operative & PC Repair Specialist

With hands-on attitude you are willing to work across all operations based departments. You will be flexibly allocated in the warehouse, repairs and technical teams. Excellent career opportunities are available to the right candidates.
