Arctic Silver 5 Performance Thermal Compound - 3.5g
Arctic Silver 5 aka magic cooling paste! With its unique high-density filling of micronized silver and enhanced thermally conductive ceramic particles, Arctic Silver 5 provides a new level of performance and stability.
Description:Introducing Arctic Silver 5 With its unique high-density filling of micronised silver and enhanced thermally conductive ceramic particles, Arctic Silver 5 provides a new level of performance and stability. Now available at Arctic Silver dealers worldwide, Arctic Silver 5 is definitely The New Reference. Arctic Silver 5 is optimized for use between modern high-power CPUs and high performance heatsinks or water-cooling solutions.
Contains 99.9% pure silver
Arctic Silver 5 uses three unique shapes and sizes of pure silver particles to maximize particle-to-particle contact area and thermal transfer.
Arctic Silver 5 contains over 88% thermally Conductive filler by weight. In addition to micronized silver, Arctic Silver 5 also contains sub-micron zinc oxide, aluminium oxide and boron nitride particles. These thermally-enhanced ceramic particles improve the compound's performance and long-term stability.
Controlled Triple-Phase Viscosity
Arctic Silver 5 does not contain any silicone. The suspension fluid is a proprietary mixture of advanced polysynthetic oils that work together to provide three distinctive functional phases. As it comes from the tube, Arctic Silver 5's consistency is engineered for easy application. During the CPU's initial use, the compound thins out to enhance the filling of the microscopic valleys and ensure the best physical contact between the heatsink and the CPU core. Then the compound thickens slightly over the next 50 to 200 hours of use to its final consistency designed for long-term stability.
(This should not be confused with conventional phase change pads that are pre-attached to many heatsinks. Those pads melt each time they get hot then re-solidify when they cool. The viscosity changes that Arctic Silver 5 goes through are much more subtle and ultimately much more effective.)
Not Electrically Conductive
Arctic Silver 5 was formulated to conduct heat, not electricity.
(While much safer than electrically conductive silver and copper greases, Arctic Silver 5 should be kept away from electrical traces, pins, and leads. While it is not electrically conductive, the compound is very slightly capacitive and could potentially cause problems if it bridges two close-proximity electrical paths.)
Arctic Silver 5 will not separate, run, migrate, or bleed.

Insane results by ben
this stuff is insane i have an MSI GTX570 from day one since ive had it its hit some scary temps eg battlefield 3 would go to 101 degrees then crash me to desktop i had given up all hope on my card and was about to RMA it until my friend said try arctic silver 5 first so i got a tube applied it put my card back in BF3 on all ultra settings now only makes my card go to an amazing 60 degrees i couldnt belive it at idle its now 29 degrees instead of the 40 it was at its insane stuff buy it the best 4.99 ive ever spent by far results are amazing :)
Yes it is, only the best ;-)

can arctic silver 5 work on this motherboard?
The CPU i am using is AMD Athlon(TM)MP 1500+ 1.47 GHz
Yes, that would be fine.
Arctic Silver 5 thermal compound can be used on any surface where an efficient transmission of heat from one component to another is required. This makes it perfect for all types of systems from servers to computers to game consoles.
Follow-up Of My Review by Chris Evans
I forgot to include in my review that I am currently running an Intel Core 2 Duo E6850 @ 3.00GHZ (No Overclocking)
All i can say is WOW!!! by Chris Evans
Well all i can say is WOW!!! I finally managed to get my computer working after a defect motherboard and i am very happy with the overall temperature of the system so far. My CPU hangs around an amazing 30 Degrees Celsius with a Stock cooler!!!
Thanks Aria for an amazing product!!!
Difference by Chris Evans
What is the difference between this and the ceramique compound: https://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Components/Fans%2C+Heatsinks%2C+Coolers/Accessories/Arctic+Silver+Ceramique+Compound?productId=7774
one is silver and therefore conductive, one is ceramic and non conductive. both do more or less the same job.
