Question  Mobo GPT Compatible? by Matt

I'm wondering if my older Asus M3A78-VM motherboard will be able to use this as one large 4TB partition? IE using GPT instead of MBR, and splitting into smaller partitions?

I've looked through my mobo manual and can't find any info about using drives larger than 2TB.

My OS is Win7x64 so that should be fine, just wondering if the mobo itself can limit a single partition on large drives?

Thanks for any advice or help.

Answer by samuelm on Thursday, October 9, 2014
You should be able to partition the drive as you see fit.
