Comments, Questions & Reviews:
Question by Sean
I only ask because I order in error the notebook bundle which I have RMA'd I am going to order this product today and just checking it would connect up via SATA cables to my motherboard and such.
That should be fine, it still has a SATA power connector and a SATA data connector.
Question by Sean
Can this be used when building a desktop pc to store the o/s??
Yes, that is generally how SSD's are used due to there small capacity.
Firmware by Andrew
Hi, can you confirm that these drives all have the latest firmware installed (the one that works) and that all I have to do is plug and play - or can you confirm that we will need to install a new fiormware before we install?
They certainly had the latest firmware when they arrived at our warehouse. However, due to the fast paced nature of firmware updates it is always best to check the firmware and update it yourself before you install the OS
Manufacturer\\'s Fault by pete moore
bought one of these a couple of months ago and just had the drive fail to boot. I can't apply the firmware update fix that Kingston suggest, because the update program doesn't recognise the device as a drive - so I can't update the firmware!
Strangely though, when I put the drive in an external enclosure, Windows recognised the device - but not as a drive??
q: Do I return the faulty drive to Aria or the manufacturer for a refund/replacement?
Think I'll stick with Mushkin drives in future!
