is this as good as the wd caviar black?

On paper the main difference seems to be that the caviar black has about half the seek time on average (4.2ms vs 8.5ms on this). I doubt that you would notice much difference in normal usage scenarios.

Question  Question regarding drive by Moe

Hi, I have heard that this drive contains 1tb disks and as its a 2tb drive it should only contain two disks\\platters.

But I have been searching the net regarding this drive and have seen on the seagate website, and they refer this drive as having three disks\\platters.

So which is it? two or three platters?
