Price? by TehOtaku
Why have the prices of Hard drives increased so much?
there has been flooding in thailand affecting over 60% of hardrive production which has resulted in a price hike , for furthur info pls check the link http://www.ft.com/cms/s/2/f0f9a234-fb33-11e0-8756-00144feab49a.html#axzz1by7mHFrs
Why the price bump? by mk101
I bought two of these on here at the start of the year, and they were £32.25 exvat & £34.16. Now I come to buy another and it's £40 exvat, what gives?
Probably, but the large-scale flooding going on in Thailand (where 25% of all global hard drive assembly takes place) has meant many manufacturers are struggling to meet demand as they deplete stock, pushing up prices.

Duff Drive by Rich W
Hi Aria! I bought two of these drives from you last year and installed as seperate drives on my machine (Good un by the way).
For a while now, when I boot it has ALWAYS goes into disc checking mode but I cancel that most of the time as it does not repair the problem in Windows 7 Ultimate Retail.
Now it is seriously messed up and keeps asking me to backup my drive and repair or replace the drive which is my main C:/ Drive. Thefore the drive is obviuosly on its way out.
However I no longer have or cannot find the receipt from Aria.
Would I still be covered by the Samsung warranty?
I knew I should have gone for the Hitachi versions as I have never had a problem with those before.
I did a review on here a while back saying these drives were slightly quieter than the Hitachi drives but then started having the disc check probs so ammended my review to Samung drives are rubbish.
Give me a clue what to do Aria. I can still just about access Windows but don't know how much longer it's gonna last out.
I have backed up to my second drive just incase.
Cheers! Rich
