Yes it will
Suitability for my Case? by Willis
Can you please tell me if this hard drive would fit into the Front 3.5" HDD Hot swap X-dock slot on my Cooler Master Silencio 550 case? If not are there any that will? And does the X in the model numbers of hard drives signify that they are X-Dock hot swappable drives. If so I can scout around for deals.. Inner Hard drive is a Hitachi Deskstar 7K1000 D series . If you recon that The WD one is better ,May Swap them round & use the Hitachi for the backup Drive . Many Thanks.
This is compatible.

hi i was wondering how this WD1002FAEX would compare to a Western Digital VelociRaptor WD3000HLFS 300GB 10K RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s. for speed?
Well the velicoraptors are 10,000 rpm drives, whereas this is 7,200, so the velociraptor will be faster in terms of sequential transfer rates and has a slightly lower latency. I doubt that the 'observable' difference would be much if anything though.

Which ones the best. by Joe
Hi there I was thinking about getting a new 1TB HD and was wondering if you could recommend the best one to buy.
This would be the fastest, if your budget is okay for this. I would recommend this, if not I'd choose a Samsung F3.
