    As long as you have a free rear USB 3.0 port as the front USB 3.0 ports works via a pass through cable from the rear I/O ports.

    After research, the device requires a USB2 header for a card reading functionality but needs a female USB3 port either on the back, inside etc. (Doesn't matter)

    So just a USB2 header and a USB3 female port is required.

    As far as I am aware, you will need a free USB 3 header on the board and then you will be able to get USB3.0 speeds.
