Wireless card.. by question

Would this work the same as a wireless network card? And will the speeds be the same as one of 54mpbs?

Response by andrewn
This is a USB wireless network card, yes. This can transfer at up to 54mbps, although actual performance varies on a wide range of factors for wireless networking; distance, obstacles, interference from other wireless networks, etc.

This would be fine with Vista 64bit. It is possible however that you may need to download the 64bit drivers from the TP-Link website.

Question  usb 1 by JPK

Will this work via a usb1 port

Answer by stevenl on Sunday, August 2, 2009
This adaptor should be fine in a USB1 port, althought Windows will complain that you are plugging a hispeed device into a non hispeed port.

Question  XBOX Live by John

Would my sons xbox get a signal from this if I plugged it to my computer?. I don't have a wireless network (wired setup) so hoped I could get his xbox setup with something like this

Answer by stevenl on Saturday, May 16, 2009
Assuming your son's xbox has the wireless module, then you could set up an ad-hoc network between the two and use Internet Connection Sharing.

If you are planning to use this on your Son's xbox, then it wouldn't work as it requires the use of Microsoft's wireless module.
