What happens when you get to Sata 3 then ? Do you currently have conversion for Sata 3 ? What about Sata 1 is this upwardly compatible ?

Response by patrickc
sata 1-3 are all forwards and backwards compatible.

Question  NAS Question by TJ

Would this work with a set of IDE drives and a modern NAS (i.e. SATA) box? It seems you'd need to allow extra space for the adaptor though.
I know it's a big ask but could you test/recommend a NAS that could accommodate this if possible?

Thanks in advance

Answer by stewartz on Friday, February 7, 2014
This does indeed need extra space as this fits to the back of the drive and NAS boxes/drives do not normally allow this.

Response by stewartz
It works by connecting the sata drive to this converter using the supplied SATA cable, then connecting the converter block to the IDE port on the motherboard.
