Description:
What This Product Does
Wireless N PCI Adapter TL-WN951N allows you to connect a desktop computer to a wireless network and access high-speed Internet connection. Comply with IEEE 802.11n, they provide wireless speed up to 300Mbps, which is beneficial for the online gaming or even HD video streaming.Wireless N - Speed & Range
MIMO (multiple input, multiple output antennas) technology, it shows more excellent abilities of mitigating data loss over long distances and through obstacles in a small office or a large apartment, even in a steel-and-concrete building. Above all, you could easily pick up the wireless network during long-distance connection where legacy 11g products may not!SST & CCA Technology - Stable Wireless Signals
Signal Sustain Technology (SST) dramatically increases link robustness and throughput by simultaneously transmitting across three spatially-diverse signal paths, and incorporating information from three receivers simultaneously within the signal processing at the receiver. Network connection drops greatly reduced, link robustness and throughput increased, achieves, on average, 50 percent greater sustained throughput at range than 2x2 MIMO systems.
Clear Channel Assessment (CCA) automatically avoids channel conflicts using its clear channel selection feature and fully realizes the advantages of channel binding, greatly enhanced the wireless performance.
WPA / WPA2 Encryptions - Advanced Security
As for the security of WI-FI connection, WEP encryption has been no longer the strongest and safest guards for outside intrusions. TL-WN951N provides WPA/WPA2 encryptions that are created by the WI-FI Alliance industry group, promoting interpretabilities and security for WLAN, which could effectively and efficiently protect the wireless network. One Button Security Setup
Compatible with WI-FI Protected Setup™ (WPS), TL-WN951N features Quick Security Setup that allows users to almost instantly setup their security simply by pressing the "QSS" button automatically establishing a WPA2 secure connection, which is more secure compared with WEP encryptions. Not only is this faster than normal security setups but more convenient in that you don’t need to remember a password!
Bundled CD for Easy Operation
TL-WN951N comes with a CD with utility that helps you complete the software installation and wireless network settings, including security configurations and wireless connection, which is convenient for users, even for novice users.Warranty Information:

Will this work with a GIGABYTE GA-990FXA Motherboard?
If you mean the GA-990FXA-UD3 then yes.
Compatibility Concerns by Ryan
Hi, I'm looking at getting this Wireless card so I'm able to move this computer elsewhere within my home and still connect to the internet without having to run cabling everywhere through the house.
My concern is I'm not sure if this is a regular PCI connection or a PCI-E x16 as the picture above makes the connection type look very similar to that of a x16 graphics card. This concerns me as I already have a graphics card in my pc and I don't want to remove that to be able to use a wireless connection.
My motherboard can be found at the link supplied here : http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=uk&lc=en&docname=c01077676#N289
Thanks for any help you'll be able to provide.
This is just a regular PCI card NOT PCI-E
worth every penny by alice
Bought this as the Bt usb dongle I was using could not maintain a decent wireless connection. The pc is situated about 25ft from the Bt homehub2 and has 2 double brick interior walls between them. Signal strength at best was 2 bars, high ping/severe lag was frequent and stability was non existent. Since installing the wireless card signal strength is now 4 bars, extremely stable connection and the high ping/lag issues have vanished completely. Installed on win7 x64 bit os using driver from the supplied resource (mini) cd, then installed the optional update that windows update found for it. Very happy with this product.
