Question  Wii by James

Hi - Can I plug my Wii into this monitor? The Wii connection is a lead with 3 leads Red, Yellow and White, which normally go into the back of the telly.

Answer by briana on Friday, June 13, 2008
No you wouldnt be able to connect using the red yellow and white. it does however support component which is red green blue and a lead is available from nintendo.

Very reasonable monitor by LG TFT 24 inch L246WH

I just got this monitor for my iMac and it works really well. The image is not as good as that of the Apple monitor but it is half the price.

 WOW!! by Tom

Wow, is all I can say after I got this in the post this morning. First up, it's a heavy mother, coming from a 19" (not widescreen) it was quite a shock to see just how big a 24" is! It is easy to set up, just twist the bottom stand onto the support "leg", and you're good to go, there are 2 yes 2 cable tidy things, that stop them from getting pulled out of the monitor end.

Just to verify the inputs, yes there is 1 DVI, 1 HDMI, Component, PC Audio, and, (you might want to put this up there^) there are 2 USB ports on the left side where the PC audio is. And for some obscure reason, there is a USB port on the back (with the other inputs), but it's the kind of USB that goes into your printer?? Also there is a DC In, but you get given a Kettle lead so don't know what that's for. The PSU is inside the Monitor so you don't have a big dangly power cord.

My screen came with 1 DVI-DVI cable, 1 HDMI-DVI, a kettle lead and that funny USB lead. The twist, tilt and swivel is very easy and effective, it can also be raised a good 6" vertically

Colours are amazingly deep and rich, very vibrant, feels like I bought a new graphics card it is REALLY noticable, was just sitting on TF2 staring at the wallpapers as if I've never seen them before!! Brings out the detail in every game no jokes, superb image quality. I went to PC world and saw all the other LG screens, the 20" and 22", (which are very different to this one as this is HD) Has no ghosting bla bla bla nothing I can see is wrong with it, came with no Dead-Pixels but I ordered the pixel check (comes with a nice sticker on the base saying "checked by dave" or whoever... Umm, can't think of anything else but brilliant and very happy! Thanks again Aria!!

Ok, I took the plunge, ordered it at 17.00 on Friday 02 May. When do you think it will arrive with the bank holiday and what-not? Can't wait oooooo thanks Aria!!!!

Answer by paulc on Saturday, May 3, 2008
I'd expect it probably tuesday/wednesday/thursday next week, depending on how busy the bank holiday was.

Question  Question by Tom

Very interested in this monitor. Was just wandering exactly what it means by saying "FULL HD". I mean i can land a guess, but most screens say 720p, 1080p etc etc. If I have a BLU-RAY player in my computer, will this be able to display it in "full HD" like it says. I've read a lot about what requirements a screen needs to meet in order to have the HD ready logos and what nots, just want to make sure before I spend £300.00 on a screen.

Thanks in advance.

(btw I've seen this screen for cheaper than your super-special price, just don't know whether I'm allowed to put links here)

Answer by philip on Thursday, May 1, 2008
FullHD would be anything that displays 1080p.
