There should be no issue.

Thank you for your question.

This or amd by Kade

In your opinion would you say that this would be a better choice over the amd 8150 gaming and video/image editing with a 670gtx?

Response by thomasr

This would be a far better choice for gaming.

Thanks for your question.

Question  A little confused by Josh

Totally confused about which heat sink to buy for this CPU, Idk what will fit with this processor, what will fit on my motherboard, confused!

ASUS P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3 - motherboard - ATX - LGA1155 Socket - Z68 - LGA1155 Socket

and this processor, hopefully O_e

any tips?

Answer by stewartz on Wednesday, September 5, 2012
As long as you get one which fits an 1155 socket then you should be fine.
These are some examples of mid-high end coolers: 44145 , 46799 and 43588.
All these should fit that CPU and motherboard, the only thing you need to check is the height of your ram and the clearance between the motherboard and the case side panel.

current set up

can you recommend a board to go with this, and can i use my existing memory?

Answer by thomasr on Tuesday, July 31, 2012
Hello Sir,

The Core 2 Duo platform (775) is EOL. You'll need to upgrade and replace your E8500. We suggest the 2500K i5 and a Z77 motherboard from MSI; i.e. Z77A-G45.

Thanks for your question.
