Question  compatability by Steve

Hi i have a ASROCK M3AUCC mainboard will this cpu be compatible?

Answer by shaund on Wednesday, January 27, 2016
Hi Steve,

No it will not, the motherboard you currently have is for AM3 CPU's not FM2 chips.

Question  Question by robin

what dedicated graphic card do you recommend

Answer by shaund on Wednesday, September 30, 2015
Hi Robin,

If you already have this APU then I would recommend something like a GTX 960, you could run this card in dual graphics however the card that AMD recommend is quite old at this stage.

If you do not already have this APU I would say go and look at the AM3+ CPU's, they are only a CPU so you won't be wasting the graphics chip on this APU as it will automatically disable when a dedicated card is inserted.

Is this an upgrade for me? by Joe

At the moment I'm using a 'AMD (Trinity) A6-5400K Black Edition 3.60GHz (3.80GHz Turbo) Socket FM2 Unlocked Dual-Core Processor',will this be better in gaming performance?

Also im using a 'MSI R9 270X Hawk' Graphics Card, will this processor hold it back?

Response by shaund
Hi Joe,

You wouldn't really see much of a jump in terms of performance, it might be worth looking in the AM3+ CPU's.

Question  Question by Jesse

Is this compatible with the Gigabyte h81m-s28 micro atx motherboard

Answer by shaund on Thursday, June 25, 2015
Hi Jesse,

If you were talking about the Gigabyte h81m-s2h, that is an Intel Motherboard, for an AMD FM2 CPU you want to be looking under AMD FM2/FM2+ motherboards.
