Question  E8400? by FloatingFatMan

Can this board take an E8400?

If so, is a BIOS flash required?

If so, will the board boot with the CPU installed PRE flashing, so that I can actually flash it?

Answer by briana on Friday, May 30, 2008
Will require a bios flash and its unlikely it will post with this cpu without a flash

Great motherboard at an affordable price by Maj

Not much to say really... Revision 2, and it also came with f7 bios. It's very stable and a very user-friendly board to overclock. Everything is positioned nicely. Can't fault it at all. Perhaps one of the best boards for someone on a budget and still wants high performance.

Question  Question by Tim

Since there are two versions of this board, which revision do you sell, r1.0 or 2.0?

Answer by paulc on Sunday, April 27, 2008
Looking at the dates these arived into stock I would imagine r2.0, the main differences are that r2.0 has 8 USB ports, where as r1.0 has 4. Both seem to have the same hardware support.
