Will this motherboard support the new 6 cored i7 processors coming out soon?
Gigabyte have listed the Core i7-980x which is the first Hexacore (6-core) CPU Intel will be releasing as supported.
Memory compatability with Gigabyte motherboard. by Chris P
I have just purchased 6GB of Corsair XMS3 DDR3 PC3-12800 1600Mhz Tri-channel memory, from Aria. Whilst checking out 1366 Gigabyte motherboards,it appears that the Gigabyte boards are only compatible with the following memory types;DDR3, 800/1066/1333/2000.The 1600Mhz does not appear on the list, is this an oversight, correct or have I got it all wrong (again)? Thank you in anticipation.
The motherboard should still work with that corsair ram, but it would run at a lower speed. To reach 1600Mhz, you may need to overclock the CPU.

Does this motherboard accept 2x2GB RAM? I understand it is triple channel enabled but do we have to use it?
There shouldn't be any problems using 2x2GB of ram in this motherboard.
