Confusion by Ray Hogan
Rev 1.0/1.3 applies to the Gigabyte Z68XP-UD3
Product Code 45188
Same applies, the Z68XP-UD3 has the mSATA connector, not this board.
Typical Gigabyte naming confusion. Move the P around, and make two completely different boards!
Z68X-UD3P - No mSATA and only PCIe 2.0
Z68XP-UD3 - mSATA and PCIe 3.0 support
Cables by Kev
How many cables does this motherboard come with? Would I need to buy a separate SATA cable for an SSD?
This board comes supplied with 4 x SATA cables that would also be suitable for an SSD
connectors... by chris
I may be going mad, but i am sure i read somewhere that this board had a mSATA port, or something similar, and this woul allow it to use netbook SSDs at bootable drives... am i going mad? or can this board do this?
The Gigabytes website makes no mention of native support for mSATA SSDs.
You could always use an mSATA to SATA converter though if you really feel the need.
