Compatibility! by Dani87
Hi. I currently have 4GB of Ram, PC10600 1333MHz DDR3.
Would this Item be compatible?
Thanks in advance.
yes it most probably will be but i would suggest you check to voltages , if they are different make sure the ram can handle the higher voltage
add more? by Conor

Very Fast - no problems at all with the RAM and fantastic price. I brought two of these and they're excellent.

Question by Fay Gooding
Less than 2 months ago I had a computer built for me with 4 memory slots, all the components came through you including your 6GB Silverline #998946 (3x2GB) DDR3 1600MHz 9-9-9-24 bundle. Only 2 were used as I'm told they work better as matched pairs, consequently I have a spare 2GB memory chip and want to upgrade to 8GB - have been searching with no luck for a single 2GB Silverline DDR3 1600MHz to match up with said spare memory.
Can I use the 2GB Mushkin Silverline #991768 (1x2GB) DDR3 1333MHz 9-9-9-24? If not, any ideas where I can get hold of a single 2GB Silverline DDR3 1600MHz?
Thank you - Fay
Hi Fay,
Using #991768 DDR3 at 1333MHz would be fine to use in your system - although it would mean that your existing 1600Mhz sticks would run at 1333Mhz instead of at their full speed.
Unfortunately, it looks as though we don't stock any 1600Mhz single 2Gb Silverline sticks. You can however use the spare 2Gb stick in your system as it is to get 6Gb RAM without any ill sideeffects.
