OCZ 2GB PC2-8500 DDR2 Reaper HPC Performance (2x1GB)
Part: OCZ2RPR10662GK, 1066MHz, CL 5-5-5-15, Lifetime Warranty
Bundle deal available on this product:
Description:The Reaper HPC is an innovative cooling solution developed by OCZ to effectively minimize heat produced by high-speed memory. As heat rises into the thermo-conductive copper heat pipe conduit, it is dissipated through the strategically-placed compact aluminum fin array. By guiding performance-robbing heat away from key memory components, the unique Reaper HPC design helps facilitate improved overclocking performance, while improving longevity and stability of the modules.
The first modules to be incorporated with the new Reaper heatsink are rated at 1066MHz and run at CL 5-5-5. Featuring an EPP (Enhanced Performance Profiles) programmed SPD, PC2-8500 Reaper HPC modules will immediately boot at the rated specs on the latest generation of NVIDIA® SLI™ chipsets. Although the OCZ Reaper HPC series was coined for enthusiasts, EPP eliminates the need for manual configuration and makes memory optimizations a household item for the complete range of consumers looking to maximize system performance through overclocking.
As part of OCZ’s line-up of premium memory, PC2-8500 modules are backed by a Lifetime Warranty and industry-leading technical support.

Great Overclockers by Alan
These modules are VERY fast.
I have overclocked mine to 1200mhz at 5-5-5-15 on 2.3v.
I can also leave at 1066mhz but tighten the timings to 4-4-4-12 on 2.3v.
For the money you get very fast and stable RAM.
NOTE: Some motherboards (mainly intel chipsets) don't pick up the correct settings so your RAM will run slow at 800mhz @ 1.8v. If this happens, you will need to manually adjust the voltage, speed and timings to:
Voltage: 2.1 (some modules can run up to 2.3v and will be stated on label on the module but will run fine at 2.1 at stock speed)
Leave all other settings on "Auto"
This is not a problem with these modules, it's a glitch with your motherboard.
Please note, Overclocking may void your waranty and should only be carried out by experienced users. if you are unsure then stick to the settings above. If you feel adventurous then give it a go ;o)
Buy it.. You won't regret!
Works fine by Ray
I'm using this 4 x 1GB of this RAM with a new Gigabyte GA-P35-DQ6 Socket 775 Motherboard. To get pc to run stable I needed to adjust the bios to give the RAM an extra .8 volts
Not much more I can say after that. It's a chunky gnarly piece of kit and I'm confident that heat won't be an issue because of the heatsink design.
New system is running sweet once it's settled in.
