Compatible with SATA 150 Motherboard? by Quinsey
I have been reading up on compatibility between SATA 3.0 hd's with SATA 150 motherboards. Apparently it requires the use of jumpers to limit the disk transfer speed to the 150 spec.
Can someone please confirm whether this product can do this?
(In case anyone asks, my motherboard is the, ABIT AV8 3rd Eye, and I am running Windows XP x64)

I'm wondering about the speed between sata I and sata II are they really different much?
There is a small speed improvement between the two.
Additional Hard Drive by Kevin Rice
I have this spec and want to add an additional hard drive. Will this one suffice?

You have a spare bay internally for the hard drive to go on. I am not to clear whether the board will have a spare Sata II port.
