just what is says on the box by andrewkp
Bought this about 6 months ago. Performs great - totally stable and easy to setup - same as any other sata drive, have it currently as my windows 7 boot drive initially on sataII and then switched to sataIII. I recommend 256GB as the space soon goes - just so convenient to have most things on the one drive.294 of 528 people rated this review as helpful

Hi mate does the Crucial RealSSD C300 256GB 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s Solid State Hard Drive come with the lead and transfer software?
Most products we sell are OEM, i.e just bare drives, I would advise checking with Sales prior to purchase to ensure that this has the software and cables if required.
6Gbps speed by Tom
In regard to the late 2008 macbook, would it run at full 6Gbps speed? Or would it be restricted to 3Gbps?
It'll probably be restricted to 3Gbps.
Mac compatibility by Tom
Just wondering if this will go straight into a Late 2008 MacBook (the aluminium one) with no problems?
It should fit fine.

Excellent - maintains performance close to those quoted speeds. But do ensure you upgrade the firmware from 0001 if required *before* you install an OS to it, since the upgrade wipes the disk. With a 6Gbps controller in AHCI mode, Win 7 rating of 7.9 is a breeze.296 of 594 people rated this review as helpful
