As other reviewers have noted, this is a relatively quiet and quite graphically powerful card while not as power-hungry as its rivals despite not being the latest tech. The cooling system is well designed (though bulky - make sure you have enough room) so the fans are stopped at low power since the heat sink is enough. Note also that it has one 8-pin power connector. Overall this is a good buy and appears to be built to last.

Hi i bought this card from you the other day, and like a noob i never check my power supplies was big enough mine was a 450watt sod's law lol. Do i bought a 700watt off ebay an ace atx powersupply. But it only has a 6pin power connection and the card has an 8pin port will this matter, dont want to pug it in till am sure.

    Hi Robert,

A 700w power supply will be fine with one of these GPUs, however, you will need to ensure that it has a 8 pin PCIe power cable.

    I would recommend this:

    Question  Question by Callum

Hello I was just wondering would this GPU work with a AMD FX6300 processor. and what is the best GTX 970 to get for the processor? thanks

Answer by thomasb on Sunday, June 19, 2016
This GPU will work with that CPU providing there is a slot for it on the motherboard and compatible with the rest of the system. This ASUS model is a good option or there is the "Gigabyte GeForce® GTX 970 XTREME GAMING" QC 65399 which higher clock speeds.

Answer by shaund on Saturday, February 27, 2016
    Hi Eddie,

This card would be able to run a 4k resolution on desktop applications but you will not get great gaming performance from it at 4k.
