MSI introduce this VR ready GPU, the AERO GTX 1080. This maybe MSI’s cheapest 1080 so far but by no means does it lack in power – dominating next-gen and virtual reality games alike.

Capable of being overclocked the 1080 AERO will dominate games of any genre and it relatively future proofed. It features a single fan and a very stylish design with a matte black finish.

 FEATURES:

  • Military Class 4 GPU Components Performance can be determined by many aspects, one of the deciding factors is the quality of the components used in the graphics cards. This is why the AERO 1080 from MSI uses only MIL-STD-810G certified components. These components have proven durable enough to withstand the torturous circumstances of extreme gaming and overclocking for extended usage.

  • Geforce GTX VR ReadyGeForce® GTX graphics cards provide a powerful next-generation platform for the ultimate immersive virtual reality experience. Rigs and cards marked with "GeForce GTX VR Ready" ensure that your VR games will be optimized with a best-in-class GPU.

  • MSI 1080 AERO Premium Style MSI AERO graphics cards are equipped with a brand new black & silver design, crafted from premium materials.        Great entry price to a higher card by Jack

Had this card for 2 weeks now and have done a lot of gaming and overclocking on it. This is inside a H440 case which has padding to reduce noise so i dont know if that makes much of a difference but whilst at 80% fan speeds i still cant hear it over my case fans. Plus if you game with a headset this wont effect you at all. I managed to OC it to 2025Mhz and get some really nice frame rates in 1080p at 144Hz. Well over the 150 FPS mark in the latest games such as BF1. I'd recommend this for a brand new system if you have the cost of everything else on top too. If you are only upgrading your GPU from your old system i would drop another £100 or so on a custom PCB.
