This graphics card is a complete bottleneck for an Amd Athlon 250. Better of waiting until you upgrade your whole system
Upgrade? by Adam H
At present i have 2 x Asus ATI Radeon HD 4650 512MB DDR2 cards in crossfire and was looking to upgrade my pc but with money being an issue i cant afford to get an entire new setup at once.
Would i gain sufficiently from taking the crossfired 4650`s out and replacing them with one of the HD6950 cards? Or am i simply better to wait until i can upgrade the rest of my pc?
These are my current parts
AMD Athlon II X2 Dual Core 250 3.00GHz (Socket AM3) Processor
4GB OCZ Gold (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-10666C91333MHzDualChannel
ASRock M3A770DE AMD770 (Socket AM3) DDR3 PCI-Express Motherboard
750W Arianet Black Series Silent ATX2.2 Power Supply
i believe you will notice a significant difference in performance if you upgrade to to a hd6950 , ofcourse a full system upgrade is best but the choice is yrs realy
