Question  Comparison by Lee

After some help.

I play Call of Duty and Warcraft and Skyrim. have a GTX 550 at the momement going to be upgrading.

I cant decide between this and a 560TI, I guess this is a little under performance against a 560TI but enough for a £30 difference

Answer by joebe on Friday, March 16, 2012
The 560ti does have more cores and is better to overclock. i would say that the TI version justifies the extra £30.

Question  Good enough? by Ant

Hi there, I was wondering if I would get the most out of this card as my other specs are as follows:

AMD Phenom 9550 (2.2GHz)
DDR2 4 GB Ram
650 PSU
Asus M3N78 PRO Motherboard

Thank you in advance for any advice.

Answer by joebe on Wednesday, March 14, 2012
Your CPU will bottleneck the performance a little but the 6870 isnt a top end card so you should be fine.

Question  ? by Tomas

Right now I'm using a GTX 460 SuperClocked, would this out perform it?

Answer by joebe on Thursday, March 8, 2012
See here for a comparison

Tl;DR ~ the 6850 is newer and a spot better.

Question  Question by Naee

Hi there I am looking for a good value for money PSU for this card and a phenom2x4 840 CPU. My budget is maximum £40 Any ideas?
Cheers

Answer by stewartz on Friday, February 3, 2012
The best PSU for under £40 would probably be #48310 on super special, other than this, the 430W corsair or the 500W coolermaster are the other 2 PSU's under £40.

Dirt3 problems by JP McCann

I just wanted to add my annoyance to the list here regarding the problems recieving my free copy of Dirt 3.
I have emailed both Aria Customer support and registered and raised a ticket with XFX.com customer support.

Basically both parties are claiming its the others responsibilities. However in my opinion as Aria are the ones advertising this promotion and also the ones who have recieved my money I believe it should be them who do the chasing up and resolving of this problem. As of yet I have still recieved nothing but will update you with details if anything comes up.

BTW - The card is great but this 'other' issue has left me with a bad taste in my mouth.
