Question  Question by Wriggaz

Looking for a replacement for my Radeon 6870, is this any better? Seems a bit steep for a Nvidia 680. Advice please.

Answer by thomasr on Tuesday, August 21, 2012

Yes this a good choice. However a better choice for less would be the HD 7850.

Thanks for your question.

Question  Anyone else having problems? by TuffLittleUnit

Delighted to pick one of these up from Aria at a great price and with prompt delivery.

However... I'm getting lots of crashes to the desktop in Skyrim, BF3 and Just Cause 2. I've tried full driver removal/reinstall and it still happens. Ironically the only game which is stable is Rage which never worked properly on the HD6870 that the GTX670 has replaced.

Not sure if it's just immature drivers or a more fundamental problem (seems suspiciously like overheating).

Is there a known issue?

Answer by stewartz on Saturday, May 19, 2012
No known issue that I am aware of, and if you have tried restoring graphics drivers then I might suggest the temperatures are getting too high. Have you tried benchmarking the card to see if it overheats?
