Good Fan - But Use Screws. by Anne Non

I bought one of these fans recently and I can say that they are brillant.

I can hardly hear it running, as per the description, and really does cool the inside of the case.

The only caveat is that I found the "set of 4 ultra-soft silicone Fan Mounts" are a total waste of time. The didn't hold the fan securely and also, they can split all too easily if you're not careful.

I reverted to using standard fan screws and, to be honest, I noticed absolutely no increase in noise.

So, to sum up, don't hesitate in buying one of these superb fans and use screws, not the supplied rubber mounts.

Quiet? by Jordan Didcott

Is this very quiet? Because the Case fan that I have now is the most loudest one I have had on a PC in my life! And i need one that's silent A.S.A.P! Is it quiet even with a molex connector because most people say if you use a molex connector it will be loud. And that's what I use because 3 pin connector doesn't work on my motherboard.

Response by stevenl
In my opinion, these Nexus fans are very quiet. And yes, it would be quiet using either a 3pin or molex connector.

It has both. The connector will allow you to use either.

Advertising that doesn't lie. by Padre

These fans are exactly what they claim to be, just about completely silent. I have three in my case all running at 1000rpm and you really do have to get your ear right next to them to hear anything. The air through put appears to be comparible with other brand fans but without the noise. The silicone attachments supplied hold the fan securely and really do seem to dampen out some of the vibration. The silicone plugs are the same size as typical screws so you can still use them if you prefer. The power cable length is about 15-20cm and comes with both male and female molex connectors and a three pin mother board connector. All in all, an exellent fan that does exactly what it says on the tin, if you are in the market for a 12cm fan you could do far, far worse.
