Question  case and this fan by david

would this pure rock fan fit into the Game Max GM-One Knight Gaming Black Midi Tower Case - Red LED???

Answer by declant on Sunday, August 21, 2016
Hi David, Tricky question as even game max do not state the CPU heatsink clearance. However, i believe this will fit just fine.

    Question  Ram Clearance? by Jake

I'm wondering whether this will be compatible with the hyperx beast's heat spreaders as they are quite tall.

Answer by matthewh on Friday, April 15, 2016
Hello Jake, you should not come across any issues. If you do the retention clips on the heat-sink for the fan can easily be adjusted to make the fan sit a little higher allowing your RAM to fit.

    Question  Thermal Compound? by John

Hey, the picture implies this product comes with pre-applied thermal compound, could you possibly confirm if this is true or not? Thanks :)

Answer by shaund on Monday, April 6, 2015
    That is true.

     Review by James

Decided it was time for a cooling upgrade for my aging, but still fairly capable Athlon II X4 640. Decided on this cooler as a good in the middle priced option and having a much great TDP cooling efficiency than i would need.

Installation was straight forward after a quick glance at the instructions to pick out the necessary mounting hardware. One thing to note, was that I was unable to mount it for front-to-back air flow and instead had to go for left-to-right, due to the mounting design on my (old) motherboard (asustek m4a78lt-m-le).

Using CPUID HWMonitor to look at the temperatures, idle is reported at 16-18'C and current maximum temps running Prime95 for 30 mins were 38'C.

Fan is nice and large, enabling it to run at a slower speed thus keeping noise to a minimum and is indeed impossible to hear anything from it over the GPU fan.
