Question  Will it fit into this this build? by UmpyLumpy

Hello, heres my build:

Motherboard: MSI Z97 Gaming 5
Processor: i5-4670k LGA 1150
Graphics Card: MSI GTX 970
Case: Obsidian 750D Tower
Ram: CORSAIR Vengeance 12GB (3 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3

I was wondering whether this fan will fit in no problem? Will there enough space left for RAM etc.
Thanks in advance.

Answer by shaund on Wednesday, September 30, 2015

Yes all of those components will be compatible, be aware however that the Motherboard will require a BIOS update for that CPU, the Motherboards we stock that are compatible with that CPU out of the box are: The Asus Pro-Gamer and the Gigabyte Game-Plus.

If the RAM is the Corsair Vengeance low profile version then you will have no problems with RAM clearance however if it is the finned (standard) version then you may find the CPU cooler will block some slots.

Question  Question by Marc

Will this fit in the NZXT Phantom case with enough clearance to still function on an optimal level?

One of the earlier comments said there was only about 1mm clearance in his NZXT Phantom 410, but I'm not sure if that included having the side fan installed on the case or not.

Answer by shaund on Thursday, July 30, 2015
Hi Marc,

NZXT claim that the case has clearance for CPU coolers up to 170mm so this cooler should be fine.

Question  Will this fit with 2x4GB of Corsair Vengeance Pro by KingDigweed

Will there be enough space for this cooler and 2x4GB of Corsair Vengeance Pro RAM?

Answer by shaund on Monday, April 20, 2015
Recommended you go for the low profile Vengeance RAM if you are using a large aftermarket cooler.

 AWESOME! by GamerX1

Yep, £60 is a lot of money when you have already splashed hundreds on a new CPU, but have never looked back, handles big overclocks with ease, its built like a work of art and is quiet as well, you will not hear it over the GPU most of time.

its BIG, so make sure you have clearance, about 1mm spare in my NZXT Phantom 410, anything narrower than this, you will have to leave the cover off!

Question  Question by Chris

Will this cooler and fan stand clear of the memory slots on an Asus z87 Sabertooth so as not to interfere with high standing memory heatsinks and/or fans?

Answer by patrickc on Friday, June 20, 2014
This depends on your memory more than anything else, low profile memory should not cause an issue.
