The tower CPU Cooler Tranquillo uses four power heat pipes and a special heat pipe constellation to achieve the best heat transfer from CPU core to the aluminium fins in its class. After precise software simulation and calculation during the development stage, a unique heatsink shape was created to lower air flow resistance as much as possible.
The cooler is supplied with a very quiet 120mm fan. It features intelligent Gelid PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) control which has been chosen to make this heatsink more desirable. The fan blades are optimised to guarantee high airflow while running quietly. The intelligent Gelid PWM curve keeps the fan quiet when the system is idling or under low load but the fan speed will increase when additional cooling is needed. The multi-award winning high performance GC-2 thermal compound is also included in the package - making it a complete package to cool virtually any desktop CPU.
Additionally mounting clips for AMD 754, 939, 940, AM2, AM2+, AM3 and for Intel 775, 1366 and the latest 1156 sockets, providing compatibility with Intel LGA775, Core i5 and Core i7 motherboards are all included. The cooler is RoHS and WEEE conforming and carries a five year warranty.

Well after reading the reviews and considering the price I thought I would give it a go, however you can tell its cheap, there are no little handles on the metal clips to assist assembly, and the heatsink is low, so I had to position the cooler the other way round with the fan sucking air rather than blowing as my Mushkin Blackline memory on my P8P67 motherboard was a little to tall, the fan could be adjusted slightly higher however not all the heatsink was covered by the fan, my i7 2600k never goes over 65 C and thats overclocked @ 4.4Ghz, in an Antec 900 chassis. All in all a good cooler, you get what you pay for really, does the job, just not as well as I'd hoped!
For all those wondering, yes it does fit on the 1155 Socket

Just fitted one of these after experiencing some overheating shutdown issues with the stock Intel cooler whilst playing the Witcher II. Was generally easy to fit the heatsink (though it was a bit of a hassle stripping the computer down to get the mobo out in order to fit the backplate). I'm not sure the method of fixing the fan onto the heatsink is the best idea. Whilst the clips do hold the fan securely on the heatsink, I found them extremely troublesome to get on.
This product seems sturdy and generally well engineered, and I think the price/performance represents very good value compared to other coolers out there. It is quite tall and bulky, so this may cause an issue in cramped cases, especially on AMD systems where I think there are more constraints on the orientation of the heatsink.
As for cooling ability, the CPU now generally idles at about 35 centigrade (as opposed to about 45 centigrade with the stock intel i5 cooler) and barely touches 60 centigrade when running a prime95 stress test (intel cooler went over 100 centigrade in minutes).
Apart from the minor niggles using the clips to fit the fan onto the heatsink I am generally very happy with this cooler.
