Nexus reckon this is the worlds quietest fan & we think they may be on to something...

They've proven they can make quiet fans with the classic range, but we wanted more - the 3pin fans are very good, don't get me wrong, but the addition of PWM to the fan (made widespread when Intel launched the socket 775) gives even tighted control over the speed the fan rotates.

PWM - Pulse Width Modulation

The use of a 4 wire PWM controlled fans is a means to reduce the overall system acoustics. A 4 wire PWM controlled fan when properly implemented will be significantly quieter than a similar 3 wire fan.

Remember - you can still use a 4pin PWM fan with a normal 3pin fan header!

Question  Question by ozzie

My motherboard only has 3-pin headers and the fan has a 4-pin connector. Will PWM still work?

Great noisless fan by pegasusvideo

So often a fan is labelled as "whisper quiet" which seldom lives up to the hype. But these are true, true silent fans.

I have three of them fitted inside my case and - even at the full 12v - they are silent. (The PSU / CPU cooler make more noise ... although these too are virtually silent)

Fact: As I type, the keyboard is making the most noise!!

Great product.

Question  dbs at 12v? by matt

Question  Please help by Mike

I recently bought a scythe shuriken heatsink and fan amongst other hardware from yourselves, i\\'m building a htpc in a antec veris 350psu case.

I\\'m a little concerned about heat as I may want to put a low 95w 45mn quad intel cpu or a 65w dual core.

My question is would I be able to replace the standard scythe fan with this nexus 120mm fan?, and would you recommend it?.

I will be also upgrading the 80mm fans from antec with the nexus fans from here.

Thanks kindly for you help in advance
