Connect your new SATA drive to the conventional four pin plug. SATA uses a different power connector than current drives, so this is a must if you dont have one.

Sata 111 by Russ
Will this fit sata 3 drives ?
yes this will fit all SATA power connections.
Thanks for your question.
4 pin molex by RB-414
is the molex connector on your Sata power converter RB-414 male or female - the connection I have off my corsair CX430 (purchased from you) is a 4 pin female and obviously I need a 4 pin male to connect to this. Many thanks.
These are Male Molex, this will fit on any normal PSU Molex.

I was a bit disappointed to get my shiny new SATA drive and find I needed a SATA power cable for it. It would have been great for something like a message when purchasing the drive to ask if I have the required cables? A nice way of avoiding that disappointment.
Always check you have the correct cables before buying
can this be used to power a gfx card by GJS
I want to get an HD3850 card, but my system only has sata power leads. Can I use this to connect to the graphics card via the 4-pin molex to 6-pin PCI-e connector?
Thanks,
Greg.
No, you will need to rearrange your cables, or purchase a different PSU.
