Aria Technology Limited is a major supplier of PC compatible computer components and peripherals across the UK. We supply thousands of end users, students, public and private sector companies, central government offices and education providers each year with quality products and services, all at highly competitive prices.

The company was established in Manchester in 1993 by our current managing director, Aria Taheri. Aria was awarded an engineering degree with honours in Electronics from the University of Bath in 1991; and then worked for a period in the electronics industry before attending the University of Manchester Institute of Science & Technology (UMIST), where he gained his postgraduate MSc.

Based upon his experience in the electronics and computer world, Aria established Aria Technology Limited with the aim of making computer products and services more accessible for individuals and businesses by ensuring quality products were sourced and distributed to the marketplace at affordable prices.

Aria recently featured on the popular Channel 4 reality show The Secret Millionaire, during which he went undercover in Sparbrook in Birmingham; spent time volunteering with several charitable organisations; and eventually revealed his identity, surprising several of the charities concerned with donations. Aria Technology has traded successfully for 20 years, and is now established as a leader in the market place with a forecasted turnover of £20m for the coming year.

The company employs over 35 individuals who together have a vast array of knowledge and expertise within the Information Technology sector. As the business continues to grow and develop, we constantly strengthen the team through in-house training and product knowledge updates as new technology is launched. Aria Technology Ltd also has a comprehensive staff development programme and the new personnel are recruited after thorough analysis to identify the skills that are of key importance to the expansion of our business activities.

Gladiator Computers have been a respected source for high performance PC hardware since 1999. Today we are operating in a custom built state of the art business premises in Bellevue, Manchester, and we regularly feature award winning systems reviewed in leading IT magazines and trade journals. Our new website, launched in 2013 for selling Gladiator PC Systems, provides a configurator which allows customers to choose their components, peripherals and other options so that they can build a PC tailored to their needs.

The organisation employs over 30 individuals who together have a vast array of knowledge and expertise within the Information Technology sector. Role overview

We are looking for a well-organized Purchase Ledger Clerk with the ability to communicate efficiently with peers and suppliers while ensuring that all accounts and administration duties are dealt with accurately. You will be working closely together with other areas of the business, in particular our Purchasing and Supplier Returns.

You will also be happy to take over other accounting duties to support the team. A motivated individual with a bright mind will have the opportunity for career progression.

Key duties include:
  • To prepare payment runs and send remittance advices
  • Supplier and bank reconciliation
  • Maintaining spreadsheets
  • Purchase Ledger invoicing
  • To keep Supplier Returns up to date and follow up credit notes for items returned to supplier
  • Scanning and filing of documents
  • To ensure stock invoices are addressed correctly and are authorized
Remuneration

Competitive salary depending on experience & performance based bonus

Essential Characteristics of the successful candidate include:

  • Strong administration and bookkeeping competence
  • Working knowledge of relevant procedures including matching and coding high volume invoices
  • Proficient user of MS Excel, ideally to macro level
  • Ability to focus on the job at hand paying attention to details
  • Analytical mind with affinity for numbers
  • Good professional communication capability
  • Able to work with minimal supervision

The MD, Aria Taheri, recently featured in Channel4's Secret Millionaire program. Located at Aria House; Bellevue in state of the art business premises, the company employs over 30 individuals who together have a vast array of knowledge and expertise within the Information Technology sector.

Role overview:

In this role you will be involved within all operations based areas of Aria Technology.

You will be working in the warehouse, the shop and our technical departments.

Experience with admin work is desirable. The successful candidate possesses a bright mind as well as hands on and flexible approach towards all duties.

A motivated individual with a strong character will have the opportunity for career progression.

Working hours

You will be required to work every other weekend (5 day/6 day week), arrive in time to make sure your work area is ready when the shop opens and stay until the closing procedures are finished.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Picking and packing customer’s orders
  • Ensuring all items go to the correct warehouse location
  • To process sales for customers using the in store payment points, quoting correct pricing, delivery date and stock requirements.
  • To deal with enquiries from customers in a courteous, professional and knowledgeable way, and effectively communicate the products and services offered by the company
  • Building systems from the award winning Arianet and Gladiator range
  • Process RMAs
