Aria Technology Limited is a major supplier of PC compatible computer components and peripherals across the UK. We supply thousands of end users, students, public and private sector companies, central government offices and education providers each year with quality products and services, all at highly competitive prices.

The company was established in Manchester in 1993 by our current managing director, Aria Taheri. Aria was awarded an engineering degree with honours in Electronics from the University of Bath in 1991; and then worked for a period in the electronics industry before attending the University of Manchester Institute of Science & Technology (UMIST), where he gained his postgraduate MSc.

Based upon his experience in the electronics and computer world, Aria established Aria Technology Limited with the aim of making computer products and services more accessible for individuals and businesses by ensuring quality products were sourced and distributed to the marketplace at affordable prices.

Aria recently featured on the popular Channel 4 reality show The Secret Millionaire, during which he went undercover in Sparbrook in Birmingham; spent time volunteering with several charitable organisations; and eventually revealed his identity, surprising several of the charities concerned with donations. Aria Technology has traded successfully for 20 years, and is now established as a leader in the market place with a forecasted turnover of £20m for the coming year.

The company employs over 35 individuals who together have a vast array of knowledge and expertise within the Information Technology sector. As the business continues to grow and develop, we constantly strengthen the team through in-house training and product knowledge updates as new technology is launched. Aria Technology Ltd is a leading IT retailer based in Manchester. The business wants to increase the level of customer service in line with its new commercial strategy. It has operated for 20 years and is now located at Aria House; Bellevue in state of the art business premises.

The MD, Aria Taheri, featured in Channel 4's Secret Millionaire program. You will be joining the business at an exciting time as the business implements recent strategies for growth and development. The company is run by an energetic team of individuals, focused on providing state of the art products and services.

Role overview

Dealing with approximately 500 transactions per day using 6 different payment methods and a company turnover of £12 million, you will need to be comfortable working in a fast paced environment.

You will work closely with our Sales and Customer Services Departments, offering commercial and administrative support. You will also play a major role in helping our Accounts Manager to produce monthly management accounts.

You will be assisting in the daily stock control procedures and will be expected to report findings in a clear and concise manner to management.

Hours of Work and Remuneration

Monday to Friday from 9am to 5:30pm

Your starting salary will be up to £19k per annum to be reviewed after 3 months + profit based bonus

Role overview

As part of the Purchasing Team you will provide administrative support to the Product Managers and the Managing Director. You will liaise with our suppliers regarding deliveries and invoicing. You will help to manage the Aria Forum and the Aria web site maximising the impact to the end users. Ideally you will be able to respond to product related customer queries on the website and the Aria Forums. You willbe working closely together with other areas of the business, in particular with Accounts, Goods-In, Sales & Marketing and Returns.

The right attitude and ability to pay attention to details will prevail over experience.

Remuneration

£17,000 pa - performance based pay rise can be negotiated after completion of the probationary period

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with suppliers to make sure we have all specifications and imagery
  • Properly specify all products on the Aria Website
  • Perform general administration duties on the Managing Director’s product portfolio.
  • Raise purchase orders and follow up on delivery schedules
  • To chase up outstanding marketing funds
  • To arrange meetings with manufacturers for the management
  • To schedule Purchasing Meetings, take minutes and follow up that agreed tasks are being carried out
  • Proactively supporting the MD with the Marketing and PR using primarily internal and external social networking sites, e.g. put competitions on the Aria forum
  • To help out in other areas of the business as and when needed

Role overview

As member of our Telesales Team you make sure that all inbound telesales calls are answered & you maximise selling opportunities by fully understanding the customers’ needs. Your deep knowledge of the products Aria Technology sells and your awareness of all associated markets enables you to manage trade accounts and proactively develop business relationships.

You will make outbound calls as part of telesales campaigns and on your own initiative, succeeding in closing sales. Being a self starter you will consistently hit and exceed Sales & Profit targets.

In this role, an outgoing personality paired with good business acumen will prevail over experience.

Remuneration

£20,000 pa + target based bonus
