The company was established in Manchester in 1993 by the current managing director Aria Taheri. After completing his studies at the University of Bath in 1991 he was awarded an engineering degree with honors in Electronics and then spent some time in the electronics industry before attending the University of Manchester Institute of Science & Technology (UMIST) to complete his studies where he gained his MSC.

Based upon the experience that Aria had gained in the electronics and computer world, he established Aria Technology Limited with view to making computer products and services more accessible for individuals and businesses by ensuring quality products were sourced and distributed to the marketplace at affordable prices.

Aria recently featured on the popular Channel 4 reality showThe Secret Millionaire, during which he went undercover in Sparbrook in Birmingham, spent time volunteering with several charitable organisations, and eventually revealed his identity, surprising several of the charities concerned with donations. Trading successfully for 17 years, Aria Technology has now established a position as a leader within the market place with a turnover for the coming year forecast to reach £20m. The company has over 45 employees with a vast array of knowledge and expertise within the Information Technology sector. As the business continues to develop, the team is constantly being strengthened through in-house training and product knowledge updates in line with the launch of new technology. Role Overview

  • Working as part of the Management Team, we are looking for an experienced and high performing H.R. Officer. The H.R. function is a pivotal part of the business structure and as such this position carries a vast amount of challenges and pressures. We are looking for a person who will be proactive in the identification and implementation of change with any aspect of business activity that touches the company employee.
Key Activities and Accountabilities
  • To work closely with the Managing Director and other Senior Managers within the business to identify development opportunities to improve the commercial and operating structure of the business
  • To work closely with the Management Team to drive positive cultural changes within the business and to ensure reporting mechanisms are in place to assess / track the results of those changes made
  • To identify, present and implement changes to the organisational structure of the business
  • To co-ordinate and facilitate where appropriate aspects of personnel and performance related meetings to include (but not exclusive to) delivering customised company training and the subsequent evaluation.
  • To propose development opportunities
  • To work with departmental managers to ensure timely and effective 1-2-1, appraisals and training needs analysis meetings are completed resulting in performance improvement / development plans being agreed and documented

Person Specification
  • A person with a minimum of 3 years HR experience preferably with CIPD qualification (but not essential)

Role overview

Reporting to the Office Manager, you will provide administrative and organisational support. You will follow our processes to ensure accuracy and traceability, you make sure all paperwork and data is up to date and filed correctly. You will be also working closely together with the different areas of the business. You have the ability to interpret & fulfil requests from start to finish and you must be comfortable working in a pressurised & fast paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 months relevant work experience to be successful in this junior role which is suited to highly motivated personalities in the beginning of their career. We would consider as well to fill this vacancy with an apprentice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the office manager

    Reporting in to the Operations Manager you will be involved in all operational areas of the company in order to ensure the smooth and efficient day to day running of the business. You will support the Operations Manager to manage the staff and to improve the business processes. Therefore you need the ability to take ownership of projects from start to finish and you must be comfortable working in a pressurised & fast paced environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • To produce regular reports providing the information needed for strategic management decisions
    • Process identification
    • Process planning, documenting and implementation

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Developing and maintaining in-house software.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Migration of existing in-house software from current to new ERP software.
  • The development of new in-house software to support key business functions.
  • Integration of in-house software with our ERP solution.
  • Maintenance and continuous improvement of developed applications.
  • Documentation of software – both user documentation and code documentation.

Person Specification
  • Previous experience of software development in a windows environment.
  • Experience with Iris Exchequer would be highly beneficial.

  • Preferably, experience of both windows forms and web-based development and UI design.
