Motherboard compatability by MJ24

Hi

Can you tell me if this processor is compatible with a Gigabyte Z68AP-D3 motherboard?.

Bought the board last year and fancy giving the system a new lease of life with this processor and a new GPU. Is it worth shelling out for newer motherboard as well?

Well first thanks for quick delivery and excellent service from aria

I bought this cpu back in november 2012 and i have been running it in my computer since december with no problems i have it fitted in an MSI P67 GD53 B3 mother board i had to flash the bios first but after that no problems being running it overclocked at 4.7ghz with two stick of 4gb kingston hyperX genesis 1866ghz run's applications very fast and fluid and i installed windows 7 on OCZ vertex 4 and i have had no problems
