Question  I5 by Alex mac

Would this i5 3750k be compatable with asrock z77 extreme 4 if so what kind of wattage would u recommend.

Answer by thomasr on Thursday, April 25, 2013
Hello,

Yes this is compatible with that. Wattage depends on the rest of the setup. 450W will do if no GPU.

Thank you.

 Amazing by Simon

This processor is the best I have ever bought, replacing my AMD Phenom II 1100t x6, the 3570k knocks it out of the water on almost everything (as it should).

Overclocked to 4.6ghz very easily on a Z77 MSI MPower board at 1.3 core voltage.

Games are smoother paired with a HD 7950, booting in 10~ seconds with a Seagate Momentus XT 7200rpm 750GB SSHD.

Idle temps are around 25-30 degrees Celsius with aftermarket cooler, never tried the stock cooler so I wouldn't know if that's any good, and on prime95 I get 60-70C.

Upgrading from a 2500K? Keep it, upgrading from anything else? what are you waiting for?!
