Warranty information says 1 year warranty; technical information says 3 years warranty. Which is correct?
The first year is with ourselves, and the rest is with the manufacturer.
USB 1.0 by AJ
Can you tell me will this work on USB 1.0 as I do not seem to have any USB 2.0 connections. My guess is that it would just be slower?
USB1.1 & USB2.0 are designed to be backwards compatible, so this drive should work in a USB1.1 port, just slower.

Excellent small portable drive, light weight and just plug and write. Depending on operating system you can lose as much as 30gig, still for the price (don't think it can be beaten at the moment), a great storage device.

Free space by Cliff
Have just bought this disk, says 500GB but when connected shows free space at 465GB and used space as 79MB, where has 30 odd GB gone? As yet I have not upload anything to the drive, 32bit XP operating system

Under OS required it does not mention Windows 7. I have preordered Windows 7 and would like to be able to transfer my info from my vista machine onto my rebuilt machine. Will this device compatible with Windows 7?
This external HDD should be fine in Windows 7.
