While I cannot guarantee compatibility, this drive should be fine in the HDX1000.

You would need a Molex to SATA power connector.

I wish to get the best value ext storage for both my iMAC and my PC running Windows XP. Tell me if there are likely to be any conflicts using this drive with the Icy Box IB-318StUS2-B? What alternatives are there?

While I cannot guarantee compatibility, this HDD should be fine in that icy box.

a great bargain,i got mine this morning,it replace my 1tb,this new drive is verry fast,and dose give me 1.32 tb using vista,all round,at this price it carnt be beaten,i dont think they would be around for much longer...a real bargain.

 Will This hard drive work with my ATMT? by Gav

Will This hard drive work with my ATMT Media Burner D589. I can install two hardrives within the device. One being a 5.25" IDE/ATAPI Opitical Disk Drive and secondly a 3.5" IDE/ATA Disk Drive. I want to buy two hard drives with alot of space for my music production. Can you help please.

No, your ATMT Media Burner D589 requires an IDE HDD, such as #29972.
