S-Video output? by David
RE:HiPoint VGA to TV Convertor.
from the photo it looks like there is composite and S-video outputs and VGA input. Is that correct?

Yes, thats correct.
VGA to TV Convertor by Paul Skinner
This product is excellent considering its price.
I'm using it with the late 2008 model MacBook Pro as Apple has decided to no longer offer the option of an adapter for s-video or composite.
The picture output from this box is very, very good and 'installing' it is simply a matter of plugging it in to an empty USB port.
It comes supplied with:
USB power cable
VGA male->male cable (female socket on box)
Composite cable (yellow phono type cable)
Instructions that are amusingly translated
All in all, I would recommend this product especially considering its price.
Plug and Play by Paul Skinner
Is it possible to plug this in to a MacBook Pro without needing any drivers?
Also, does the USB cable (for power) come with the product?
While i cannot guarantee compatibility, the device is USB powered, not USB controlled, so it shouldn't matter what type of machine it was plugged into.
And Yes, the cable is supplied.
Monitor as a TV by Max
Can this convert a freeview box using SCART to a computer monitor using VGA? So effectively I will use my monitor as a tv?
Hi Max, sorry they are unable to do that as there is no SCART connection. It uses only S-Video in order to be able to play games on the TV.
