Quick Question - i know it's pedantic- but we all know a gaming rig must be just so,.. does the brightness of the lazer change atall. - dim when you stop moving - or flicker to detect things happening? could you please let me know - or someone else who has one of these?
Hmmm, not sure myself, a search on google bore no fruit either, maybe our kind customers can help...

I've got one of these, it's great, I thought I'd correct above, it doesn't use AA bateries, it has two of it's own and the wireless base will charge one while you use the other, each will run for about a 2 days with average useage, swapping takes seconds and you can select to recharge it in 2 hours (in boost mode) or 10 hours (in normal). Good mouse
