Vivitar Corporation's smart new DVR-210 is a compact, feature-packed, solid-state digital video camera with digital-still and voice recording capabilities. It is an outstanding choice for anyone seeking a versatile digital video camera and MP3 player small enough to fit in your shirt pocket. The stylish DVR-210 is equipped with a 2 megapixel image sensor. As a digital video recorder the DVR-210 is essentially a miniature camcorder. Unlike a conventional camcorder there are no tapes to deal with. By recording directly to its internal memory or to a memory card, your video may be viewed or reviewed on a 1.5 inch color TFT LCD display just as in a standard camcorder.
Several recording choices are offered. You may select from two video resolutions; either 640 x 480 or 320 x 240. You also have the option to record your video with or without sound. Recording without sounds requires less memory, thereby extending recording capacity by 20 percent. Silent video is particularly useful if you intend to edit your video, perhaps adding a music track, or doing a voice-over at a later time. Your DVR-210 videos may be played on your computer, emailed to a friend, stored on a CD-ROM, played on your TV, or converted for use on a website.
This versatile product also acts as a 2 megapixel digital still camera. Users may select the native 2 megapixel resolution settings, or interpolation to 3 or 4 megapixels. As a digital-still camera, the DVR-210 is an ideal camera for a variety of digital imaging needs ranging from email and web applications, to images that are ready for display or print. Quality 5 x 7 inch prints are not a problem with the DVR-210.
