Hello,

The 6450, 6570 and 6670.

Thanks.

Well worth buying, 5 stars. by Basil

I had never had a quad core processor prior to this A10-5800K, also had heard a lot about how good Intel chips are but they are more expensive than AMD and the built in graphics not as game capable as the A10 5800K.
Previously I had an Intel E8400, Foxconn P35A-S Mobo with Nvidia 8800GT 1 Gb DDR3 Memory graphicss card and 4 Gb of DDR2 Ram. The power consumption of this setup with the speakers and monitor (Acer P235H) included was around 180 to 240 watts, depending on gaming use. At idle is used about 150 Watts.

The A10 5800K processor, MSI mobo (A75MA-E35) and 8 Gb Crucial Ballistics Sport, with monitor and speakers uses 100 Watts at idle and around 220 Watts or so when gaming with COD4, it gives about 60+ fps with the built in graphics with AA and Shadows turned off. I reckon that's pretty good for such a low price processor and I don't have to buy another graphics card. Dirt Showdown works fine on it too, I didn't look at the frame rates but only because I didn't need to!

I don't do bench marking but the Intel E8400 took 17 to 19 minutes to back up and verify my 64 Gb SSD boot drive which has about 30Gb of data on it. The A10 5800K takes 4 minutes and 50 seconds from start to finish, same task. It seems to eat work for breakfast and performs far better than I had hoped it would. Pair this processor with a good memory and good motherboard and it's ideal for anyone who likes to play games but still wants a not too expensive pc. Top notch, I give it 5 stars.
