Compatibility Question by Dweir01

Is this PSU compatible with the following:

Gigabyte GA-B85M-DS3H Micro ATX Motherboard

Powercolour Radeon R9 270X Video Card?

Response by PeterW
I would recommend upgrading to at least a 650w
Response by stewartz
This should be fine for those components.

Ooops - messed up the last description by anothermouse

The connectors for PCI are 6+2pin, rather than plain 6 Pin.

You get 2 of these 6+2pin connectors on a single cable, however, the PSU does have sockets for 2 of these cables if you get one from a different cable set, and use the other connector, rather than using one of the other modular connectors

Question  Power Capabilities by Jethro Mason

I own a CX430M and it runs my i5 3.30Ghz Processor, 8gb of RAM, a 2TB hard drive and a Radeon 6670 Card with no issues.

However I am about to upgrade to a Radeon 7850 and I was wondering whether I will need to upgrade from my current CX430M to this CX500M due to power capabilities?

Answer by Keithw on Thursday, October 10, 2013

I would recommend upgrading this this PSU if you upgrade your graphics card.
