The best processors for these baords (even thought it says in huge letters quad core ready) are dual cores, this motherboard is king of the overclockers for dual cores. I currently have an E8500 45nm Core2Duo in my striker.

Im thinking of getting this mobo, but is it compatable with the 9800gtx and the intel Q6600/ Q9450.
Yes, the Q9450 would need a BIOS update though, as these are the new 45nm cores.

What is the difference between the 4pin and 8pin CPU power connector? What is ideal for a Q6600 and 8800GT? When I coonect everything with a 4-pin my system hangs on the POST.
The difference between 4pins and 8 pins is more power. This baby is absolutely fine running on 4pins, it came with 4pins covered up. The 8pin mobo ATX power is only there for if you have a power hungry overclock. Most modern Powerpacks come with 8pin power cables, which split into 2x 4 pins.

Hi. I am building a new rig with this mobo in mind. I currently have a GeForce 7900GTX 512MB PCIE graphics card which I am hoping to reuse. Will this work? Will this card work in any intel mobo using nVidia chipsets?
