 pciE 2.0 compatiblity by wear'z

i've just bought this mobo. i heard it's not pci-e 2.0
but now, not many graphic card are pcie 1.1. so can i used pcie 2.0 for this motherboard? what happen if i still want to use this pcie 2.0 graphic cards?

PCI-E 1.1 & PCI-E 2.0 are designed to be backwards compatible, so you shouldn't have any problems using a PCI-E 2.0 graphics card in this motherboard.

Hi again,

I'm glad to hear that it'll work with the listed components, but is this board PCI-E 2.0? My understanding is that I won't get the best out of the graphics card unless it's on a 2.0 board.

The main difference between PCIe 1.1 and 2.0, is that 2.0 has double the bandwidth. In the real world, graphics cards aren't pushing PCIe 1.1 ports fully, so there wouldn't be any performance problems running a PCIe 2.0 graphics card on a PCIe 1.1 slot.

While I cannot guarantee compatibility, all those components should work just fine with this motherboard.

Note regarding connections by Aj

In case it confuses anyone else, the printing on the board itself and the manual conflict with regards to where to attach the power led/hdd led etc. Follow the manual and connect them to the set nearest the SATA ports.
