Would this work on an ASUS A7V600 (VAI KT600) i have SATA on the MB? Also would this work alongside (2)IDE HDs, having the SATA drive running as a storage drive?

Nope, this is an internal drive. If you want an external, take a look at HDI-U-FC-CLS-320 or if you need something around the same price but a lower capacity, this one HDI-U-FC-CLS-160.
