slots by cinek
how many pci slots does this card cover? 2 or 3?
The backplane covers two PCI slots but the large fans mean that this will take up 3 slots worth of space internally.

I have pretty much decided on a GTX 570 GPU but one thing that is important to me is noise level. Which is quieter this Gigabyte Windforce or the MSI Twin FrozR? I currently run a Palit 9800GT 1GB and it is by far the noisiest part of my system, would either of these be quieter than it?

Both cards are fairly quiet. This one probably has the edge. Without hearing your current 9800GT we really can't say whether this is quieter or not. Certainly these cards will have to work a lot less hard to achieve the same results, which should result in less need for the fans to go full out!

I am going to build a new system soon but would like to upgrade the graphics card just now if possible, would this be compatible with the gigabyte ga-ep35-ds3l?
On it I'm running an Intel Q8200, 4Gb Corsair Dominator 1066Mhz Ram, Corsair HX750 PSU in a Lian Li Mid Tower Case if that makes a difference.
Should be compatible.

Is this card any quieter than the other GTX 570 cards and is it good value for money performance wise?
It's cooler and quieter than the reference cards, yes. Value for money, you'd need to decide yourself really, it's a performance card which isn't really aiming to be value-oriented; the 560/460 fit that description better.
