PLease help by Chris
Hi do you think I should get this card and at a later date crossfire it with anther one when I have the money, or just wait and save up to buy the 5850? Also do you think this would work well with a phenom 11 x 4 955 and mobo Asus M4A79XTD EVO 790X?
Many Thanks
2x HD5770's in crossfire would be slightly faster than 1x HD5850.
And yes, it should work fine with those components.
Review by XFX ATI Radeon HD 5770
This is a very good graphics card for gaming and any high definition displays. You should have a windows 7 experience rating of 7.4 after installing the current drivers which are available without much hassle after registering with XFX or going to the ATI website. The realistic truth however is that this card (and all ATI HD 5700 & 5800 cards) only supports 2 displays simultaneously unless you are willing to buy a new displayport monitor (cheapest at least £180) or get an active displayport to dvi adaptor which will set you back by about £80 to £100. It's rather unfair for ATI and cohorts to be marketing these cards as having 3 monitor support through eyefinity when 99.9% of monitors/displays do not support that feature.

Is this a worthwhile upgrade from a radeon 4850?
Performance wise they are around the same. The only thing you would be getting extra would be DirectX 11 support.
Question by teessider
whats AVP edition and is this a good match for GA-MA785GT-UD3H mobo ? thanks
AVP edition basically means it comes with a voucher so you can download a copy of the game Alien vs Predator.
And yes, this card should work fine with that Gigabyte motherboard.
Question by Ryan
Is this graphics card only compatiable with a pci-e 2.1 bus? Can you recommend a good but a good priced directx 11 card which is compatiable with a pci -e 2.0 bus, thanks
No, this card should be fine with earlier PCI-E slots.
