Will this card run on an Abit AB9 pro motherboard by Oldsalt
I have a computer with an Abit AB9 Pro motherboard and would like to know if this card will run on this board. It has been running an Nvidia 8800GT until just recently when some faulty drivers from Nvidia damaged the board.
While I cannot guarantee compatibility, this card should be fine in an Abit AB9 Pro.
Size of card and watercooling compatibility by MayukhP
can i replace the fan with a waterblock, and if i can will it only take one pci slot on an asus rampage 2 xtreme?
You could take the fan off, but you would void the warranty by doing so.

PCI-E slots are designed to be backwards compatible, so it should be possible to to use this card in a older PCI-E slot.
