Will the graphics card work in it? It's only PCIe 2.0
Yes it will work fine.
Excellent! by Phobic
I was a bit worried about purchasing this card as i had never heard of VTX before. But being a subsidiary of Powercolor put my mind at rest. I was also concerned with getting a card with one of the egg shaped coolers, as they do not seem as good. But i got one with a huge heatsink/heatpipes and red cover with the fan in the middle. It seems much better than the reference cooler.
The card is pretty cool, considering the crappy airflow in my case and the fact that my soundcard is right underneath it. It idles at 55 and hits 80 at full load. Not to mention it is extremely fluid with my AMD 1055T in games. Such a nice card, and i'm very pleased to have gone back to ATI.
fan not at rear/end by hello
This is not a reference design card, Even though someone else asked if the fan was in the middle or at the end and Aria replied "at the end" I recieved a card with the fan in the middle....
I have to send mine back now as I need a reference design card.
Nice card by Paul
Very pleased with my VTX HD5850 runs cool and near silent, well I have upgraded from XFX 6800 GS AGP,COD MW2 looks fantastic @ max settings are real smooth,if like me you have only one black PCI-E 6PIN 12v connector from PSU buy a molex PCI-E 6PIN adaptor
(Quick code: 17133)and fit it to a spare power molex as this card has 2 power sockets in the end
worked for me.
Xfire and PSU by glazza
Will My Corsair 650Watt PSU be enough to XFire this VTX5850 with my Powercolour 5850
G.
yes this power supply should handle 2 x 5850's with ease
