Icy Dock MB-455SPF 3.5'' SATA
|
5x 3.5'' HDD in 3x 5.25'' Bays, Hot Swappable, LED, Swappable Fan.
|
Description:
Following the tradition of industrial systems' needs for stability, durability toughness and high sensitivities for storage drivers' operating conditions, ICY DOCK introduces the new multiple storage drive module with removable drive trays. Full aluminum built cooling body constructed to fit 5 drives within limited device bay fitting system cases, allowing extra rooms to fit the maximum number of drives to enable mass data storage. It is equipped with a hot swappable fan that may be detached if confined by depth limitations when integrating. It's also easy to exchange when replacement is necessary. No tools or wiring required! Simply swap with a new fan and back to operation. It's both space saving & user friendly for industrialized system solutions.

Antec Twelve Hundred by Pieter
Will 2 of these docks fit into an Antec Twelve Hundred case, or would you recommend another type of tray for that?
While I cannot guarantee compatibility, you should be able to fit two of these into the Antec Twelve Hundred.

In response to the question by Samf88 - Yes, as long as you will have 3 x 5.25" drive bays free you can install this unit
quiet? by Harley by Sophie @ Aria
in response to the question by Harley - I cannot say if this is fairly quiet all of the time because you have to remember you will have 5 drives installed in the unit which will make noise to start with, but the fan on the rear of the unit is removable so you could take this away to reduce any noise.
quiet? by Harley
I ambuilding a home NAS at the moment and am looking at options for expansion. It is in a prominent place in my home so cannot be too noisey. Does this thing make a lot of noise, or run fairly quietly most of the time?
It will be filled with 5 1Tb Samsung SATA-2 drives

Will this fit in the Gladiator Trident Performer (QC #33217) and will it take the 1TB Samsung Spinpoint F1 SATA2 drives (QC #30998).
I'm considering investing in a 'super' computer and am just getting ideas first and trying to futureproof myself. :)
Thanks
